I cant play by steam 2 months because of this issue after every logging
{"nakamaError":"Illegal byte sequence encounted in the input.\r\nParameter name: string"}

On phone app i dont have this problem.
FIX THIS or block my account and bring me my money back.

@half apex i found a workaround. If you have another pc/laptop, log into steam on your account and download catan universe. After that, follow these steps

Start the game
Login to your Catan Universe Account
(with the game running) Go to "AppData/LocalLow" and copy "United Soft Media Verlag GmbH" to USB/Mail/Anything to transfer it to your main pc.
Paste that folder in "AppData/LocalLow" on your main pc

Thank you, it worked but i am in offline mode and cant play multi.

@half apex I fixed it for real now. first things first. log out of catan universe if you haven't already

Open the Control Panel
Click on Region
Click on the "Administrative" tab
Click on "Change system locale..."
Check "Beta: Enable Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support."
Your pc will need to restart
Login to catan universe and enjoy (online works this time, lol)
