#Screching noise from the extruder after updating to 2.1.2 from 2.1.1
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
looks like just extruder skipping but that doesnt expain the doubling in esteps
many things got broken in 2.1.2, use 2.1.1 or update to bugfix (which get broken regularly too)
will try to update to bugfix
Updated but esteps are still doubled
let me do a print to see if step skipping is there
id steps/mm are double - you have microstepping wrong
and don't forget to reset EEPROM of course
not exactly double, E407.77 to 994.56098
also getting this while compiling and looking into it
also drivers are in standalone mode 2208's
ah i give up for now it needs a lot of work on my part and probably it would be better to rewrite the whole ui to deal with this outdated thing
will revert back to 2.1.1 for now
reverted back, esteps are still doubled?
will check the wiring since did some modification since upda
te
well found the issue
which is super weird
i was setting up the printer with a gcode file that had all my settings

this was the thing that was the problem which makes no sense to me but
I believe if you update the file extension to .cfg it won’t run it at each boot
just was running the gcode from octoprint
