Like the title suggests, I get 20-35 ping when im on the desktop, but as soon as I open my game, it spiked to up to 2000 so it's completely unplayable. I will then quit the game and it drops back down to 20-35 which seems so weird.
This happened only as of today, was working fine yesterday.
I'm on frdun02 datacenter. I don't use shadow on other devices. I'm on wifi and don't have access to test on other connection types. Not sure if it happens for other games but this is on Elden Ring using Convergence mod.

I tested the browser version and it was working fine, but the quality of the streaming was not quite as good

lower bitrate, this happens when you create congestion on a network or lack configured bandwidth
this is a classic issue, could be a bad or weak wifi signal, that your wifi network switched to 2.4GHz and poor signal or if you are using direct ethernet that your ISP has congestion on the route to Shadow datacenters

Thank you for the response! Is there a reason this happens only on the app and not on the browser though?
And when you say lower bitrate, is this through the network settings?

yes, the web browser version operate differently than app, to make it simple, protocol is less performant than app, it's mostly made for chromebook, school network, restricted network, office network...
