Same, I’m sick of it

does it basically like stutter for you guys too? like it freezes for a milisecond? that's how it is for me, just stuttering, when I'm moving a charater in a game it'll like freeze for a milisecond, then movement. weird thing is, it works perfectly on my phone via the shadow app. idk what that means. tried it on 2 pcs though, same thing on both, on both browser and shadow app. and for me, been like this for 5 days or so. had this thing for 3 years, NEVER had an issue like this, or a problem for this long

Had a flashback from Monday that App did some updates. After that, the problem started / got worse. Have been running beta for the morning with the problem gone.

On the stats, the instability come from the connection between your device and your router.

#

Are you using Wifi connection? It is a new gen Wifi 5-6-7 or at least use 5ghz connection?
If possible, I suggest to try to use a Ethernet cable ( from your device directly attached to your router ), which should fix the instability.

novel delta
#

my wifi is super good 5ghz never had a problem, cant use ethernet but its less than 1 meter away from me

#

the problem is a shadow problem happenes to other people, it flickers from great to unstable which makes it laggy in a game

gleaming gull
#

So, that stats, should be green with 1ms of distance, which is not.

it changes from green to red every few seconds

15ms from Device to Router is HUGE.

#

That is an indication of issue between Device and your router.

gleaming gull
#

And with this, you have 2 confirmations, that the problem is more on your side.

novel delta
#

it changes from good, to bad, that screenshot is from when its bad

magic sorrel
#

Yes, and the left side as it indicates is from your Device to your Router.

novel delta
#

trust me its not a problem on my side i have been using same wifi all the time used to run perfect

#

this problem started a few days ago and to multiple of us

#

the screenshot is when it flickers into unstable, most of the time it says great

magic sorrel
#

Well we're just trying to point out what the images show.

Reach out to Shadow Support for more in depth look, they can check App logs etc

novel delta
#

my wifi isnt the problem im 110% sure

#

once im home i will screen record and show u

#

its very wierd

gleaming gull
#

I suggest to send them also traceroutes results on both side: Shadow to your device and viceversa.
Ping plotter is a good site, for example.

magic sorrel
#

Nah don't need a recording, just reach out to Support. As I said, they can check app logs and see details of what is happening. Other users, including us can only advise what you can do.

novel delta
#

okey

#

its so wierd cos it used to run perfectly

#

and now for a few days this is happening

gleaming gull
#

Yeah, is best to contact them.

where do i try that

trail skiff
#

And if it works for you too I'd say there is a problem with the networking stack with the current production branch, if it doesn't work I've just been extremely lucky today.

novel delta
#

that download dosent work for me

#

i downloaded the beta

#

still same issue

this might seem random but did you get a new monitor or anything recently? because I fixed my problem by changing the resolution of my shadow pc in the overlay to 1600x900, it's an older pc and my monitor is a brand new gaming monitor, and idk but that fixed my stuttering 100%. weird thing is that changing the resolution not only changed visual stutters, but it even affected the connection for some reason? as it it improved drastically upon the change. best part is games are unaffected, and sill run at their native resolutions without it affecting anything. idk but I say give it a try? try changing your resolution in the overlay in video to 1600x900 by unchecking the match native resolution; either that or change your physical pc's resolution, either or. but yeah it's what fixed my problem

#

good luck my dude, i know how awful your shadow not working is, it freaking sucks. really hope this maybe helps, fingers crossed, and if it doesn't, sorry for the false hope 😢
