Hello, I am looking to purchase a month of shadow PC to test it out. However I have a few questions about the always on feature and its limitations.

Firstly, I want to ask on what subscription tier is the always on feature available?

And on that tier, is the always on feature an add on (so is it made available immediately after purchase of respective tier) or is it an additional feature that I need to pay more money to unlock?

For the shadow pc itself, is it a replication of an actual pc (so I can login into my own softwares “ie solidworks” and run stuff digitally?) and are there any limitations to what I can do on the machine aside from all the hardware limits.

I have some software and folders on a usb, how do I transfer it from locally into the virtual machine? Is it as simple as drag and drop or is there a process.

I would appreciate any help I can receive, thank you in advance.

  1. Pro tiers.
  2. It's an addon that's paid. Pro tiers have a more lenient timer for automatic shutdown, but it's still there unless you buy Always-On as an additional cost.
  3. It's a Windows virtual machine. I don't believe Solidworks has restrictions there.
  4. Drag and drop works or you can use Tailscale to mount a network share from your local device or fileserver to Shadow.
