#Is it allowed to test malware on my own shadow pc for research?

Pretty sure there is a program that lets u run a vm on your own computer to test out malware but im not sure what its called just seen people online using them for testing malware too
well it's best to do this in a controlled environement (network wise (non-routed network)), this is what could cause you trouble with Shadow
for this yes, a local VM is better (VirtualBox/...)
also, more efficient than shadow, as you can do "snapshot" (clean vs infected)
on a site note, a lot of malware are hidding or doesn't deploy well on a VM, so it's best on a dedicated local machine (off network too :p)
