#High latency

Ill trade im used to under 35 and all of a sudden im dealing with this s
I've had a few higher-than-usual pings over the past few days, but then, without doing anything, they magically resolved themselves. It could be a temporary issue with your connection.
Yes when i made this post it fixed itself the next day then it happened again last night. Seems like its an issue from shadows end
Or from your ISP
Well i have the issue right now again no idea what to do to fix it
I have had high latency over 2 months now it was from 30 and it jumped it till 36 and that is 24/7 and i have shadow pc pro expert, and the pc I’m using the shadow pc remote program at home is on its own QoS and it’s on the highest priority and on its own Vlan, it doesn’t make any difference if the pc has its own router and the router is on its own wan ip, and my speed from my isp jumps from (800mb/s to 1000mb/s In) and (800mb/s to 1000/s out) but it’s stable and has in and out 890mb/s in and out, and my default router at home is a UniFi Dream Machine Second Edition, and when I tested the pc on its own router I used a TP-Link Model: EX820v Version: 1.0 did also test on a Zyxel Model: EE3301-00, my routers is on the latest stable Firmware, my isp do not have any throttling, my isp in Sweden is http://bahnhof.se and I have new network cable cat 6e and I have tested the cables no quality problems, windows 10 Home
It seems like shadow servers issue
If anyone finds a fix please let me know because im about to cancel my subscription because this is unusable and its not an issue on my end I tried everything
Use Ethernet attach to the router instead of Wifi, already help to reduce ping.
But do you did a traceroute ( on both side ), if it's really a Shadow issue or not?
Closing any application in the background on your local device, that use Internet, can help too.
On US, for example is still exist the problem that have Spectrum and Comcast

Try NOT to use wifi or mobile.
They create lag and Not solve IT.
Check also Here.
There are two ways
- Via Windows in a command prompt
The trace has to originate from your own network. you can
tracert shadowsipgoeshere
The other way is
- Via PingPlotter web site
Download PingPlotter on both sides, Shadow and local, get the public v4 addresses, and swap them. Local traces to Shadow's IP, Shadow traces to your local IP. Then you get a pretty graph and all of the per hop latency stats. Can narrow it down from there to a local ISP issue, datacenter issue, whatever.
On PingPlotter, you can see with the graphs to understand (since you can do both tests) if it is really a Shadow problem or not.
Today it randomly fixed itself back to my normal latency
i live in Sweden i don't known if this is a normal standard but it seems like shadow uses a ip tunnel or Proxy Server, if i go to to the page whatismyipaddress on my shadow pc i get a Swedish ip but my shadow pc is placed in Dunkerque France (FRDUN02), so i cant really do a Reliable PingPlotter, i get this info when i go whatismyipaddress from my shadow pc
ISP: Shadow SAS
Services: Public Proxy Server
City: Stockholm
Region: Stockholms lan
Country: Sweden
Can't get mines to even work got 2 different internet both running off 5G have the PC on Ethernet cable and local device is laggy and the other one is unstable
Oh wow that is even worst than mine yeah idk the fix for this its sometimes fine right now my latency is fine but i keep getting random disconnects
I get disconnected back to back then it will go good for like 5mins and then start again
Yes, it's normal, because Shadow use GeoIP address based on your region.
Anyway, the connection ends up in Dunkirk.
so should i use the Swedish shadow ip to ping it?
Yes.
For example I live in Italy, I pay on Italian Shop, I use Shadow through Strasbourg datacenter, but the IP of Shadow of the Virtual Machine is French ( and Steam would appear to be near Paris).
I am beyond furious with this bs This has never been an issue until now and its not my internet
I'm having the same problem. I'm wired and have tested my ping to the DC server and I'm just lagging to the point my shadow is completely unusable. I'm at the point I'm ready to cancel my subscription. Some help would be nice
And this is from what you noticed from the traceroute you did, on both sides?
The best option for me, to see, if it's really a Shadow problem or not, is to di a traceroute... There are two ways:
- Via Windows in a command prompt
The trace has to originate from your own network. you can
tracert shadowsipgoeshere
The other way is
- Via PingPlotter web site
Download PingPlotter on both sides, Shadow and local, get the public v4 addresses, and swap them. Local traces to Shadow's IP, Shadow traces to your local IP. On PingPlotter, you can see with the graphs to understand (since you can do both tests) if it is really a Shadow problem or not.
You can share the results here, so someone can try to understand it... I know some mods are more expert than me on this part...
because if it's not a Shadow problem, it could be something related to a server where your connection passes to get to the Shadow datacenter (it's like on the road, problems can happen on the road and you have to take detours).
You'd have to message me privately to explain this to me
Not now, because in less than 6 hours I have to get up to go to work (I work as a courier for hospitals).
anyone here also has the R-604 Error and disconnects?
I can no longer connect at all
