i am having the same issue, my mic worked fine lastnight, now its not detecting it
whenim not using shadow my mic is fine, once i get on shadow the mic cannot be detected

i came to a thread that was having similar issues and piggybacked to get no help
im having issues connecting my mic to shadow now, it was working perfectly fine now it keep saying my usb device malfunctioned. ive tried differect ports and same thing. my mic works fine on my local device but not on shadow now. im using a fifne xlr/usb microphone. i cannot usb forward it, and it pops up when i enable it but i still cant use it.
If you're forwarding the Mic and it says Malfunction, it's an indication of networking issues. ShadowUSB requires low and steady latency and no packet loss, not even 0.1%
Forward it normally via the Microphone enable and select from Input devices.

Uninstall ShadowUSB, restart local PC. Then it should pop up in the normal Microphone section in quick menu. Chances are cause you're trying to USB forward it, it's messing with the other option.
Other than that, you'll need to wait for support to help you via your ticket.
any idea as to why this would randomly happen ? ive been using shadow since 2022 and never had this happen
Reboot your router to see if that clears any issues.
Rebooted my router, it’s showing my mic as the input source but it’s still not working, I did not usb forward it this time
How are you testing it?
well now its not even showing up anymore
again my mic is fine on my local device, as soon as i open shadow it says it malfunctioned and i cant use it, ive tried different usb ports, rebooting, everything
when i enable my mic as the input source i cant hear anything and it doesnt give me the option to select the mic in my settings
its very frrustating as im paying $52 and using shadow for work and i cant even speak, and its been like this for 2 days now

You shouldn't be seeing the USB device not recognised if you're not forwarding it via Shadow USB..
AGAIN, i did not usb forward it. i enabled the mic normally and i cant hear or use it still

Your microphone when not forwarding will passthrough the External Microphone Headphone. You can go to Properties and tick listen to device to test it works, if you hear yourself you untick it.
i am aware, like i previously said, i cannot hear anything when the mic is enable normally
Okay well, you'll need to work with support.
Maybe they'll see something in the app logs.
and how long does support take ?
