when downloading the shaders, an error message appears "out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource. Make sure your video card has the minimum required memory, try lowering the resolution and/or closing other applications that are running. exiting..."

#

Other dune players have reported turning off intel turbo boost in bios fixes this issue but i obviously do not have access to the bios

Please report such to Shadow Support. Out of curiosity which Shadow plan? Also does the free benchmarking tool work? Cause I've previously run that on Shadow Power without issue.

No issues on power

The fix is apparently updating the bios

#

I am using shadow boost atm

Having to update bios to fix a game seems very odd.

It could just be that Boost doesn’t meet the minimum requirements.

As mentioned the other user has no issues on Power plan.

#

Okay it seems to meet minimum requirements when it comes to VRAM but not system RAM.

Have you tried updating to the latest GPU drivers on Shadow?

#

It could also be that the GPU wasn’t attached to the VM during this instance. Be sure to check device manager > display adaptors to make sure the P5000 is the GPU in use. - If RedhatXL is the one in use it’s a fallback when GPU not attached or there’s driver loading issues. - Solution would be to reinstall Nvidia GPU drivers and restart or to Shutdown shadow for at least 15 mins and then check device manager again.

It gives an error while trying to update the drivers? Or you try and it boots you out of shadow?

#

Also grab the drivers direct from Nvidia website instead. Latest game ready ones are fine.

But equally screenshot device manager.
