I normally connect my Joystick just fine with USB forwarding, but now it seems to be getting detected as a gamepad on the local client launcher, whereas before it was just a normal USB drive.
When shadow is launched, it says USB forwarding is disabled and I only see my ps4 controller as a gamepad.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers multiple times, restarting etc to no avail. Can I force Shadow to not recognise my joystick as a gamepad?

Hi. You could look if the ShadowUSB service on your pc is active. If not activate it and then the USB forwarding should work
It should appear in the Windows services

if so, I don't see it in there
these services are running

Ah Okay. I don't know for Mac but I think there also should be services like in Windows. I hope so
