When using my controller it flickers in and out of keyboard mode on games, the best way to describe it is that when on a game that shows the controls it'll only show the controller controls when i'm actively pressing a button on the controller and even then it flickers back to keyboard controls. this is making it impossible for me to play any of the games I want as its recognizing my thumbsticks as the mouse and buttons as keyboard inputs. I've disabled steam input on both ends, tried unplugging the keyboard and mouse while using controller, redownloaded / restarted shadow, reset all shadow settings, I cannot figure it out.

I had the same issue previously, its really more of a steam input issue than a shadow one. Unfortunately, unless they changed it recently, its almost impossible to actually turn off steam input or remove its files, it always wants to take control. Im assuming youre using a playstation controller too, so Ill recommend the two things that worked for me.
1 - Put steam input into the basic gamepad mode and make sure the settings work as itended. Ill be honest, this can be incredibly infuriating, but once you get it right, you usually wont need to touch the steam input settings again. (Monster Hunter Rise wouldn't work until I did this)
2 - shadow has a handy feature like the ds4 conversion widget, which forces your shadow pc to think your ps controller is an xbox controller. this will be very useful for games that dont actually use steam input, although you might have to deal with xbox symbols (I had to use this to get destiny 2 to work)
