#Infinite "Starting Shadow" After New Update

Same as last weeks update. Getting the exact same problem with today's update. Shadow updates fine, but just won't launch. Gets 3/4 of the way through the loading screen then sits at this exact spot every time. Tried everything I found on the internet to no avail, tried Alpha, beta, etc, nada.

Last week this was fixed by them reverting the update but I doubt they'll do that again...

Genuinely not sure what's causing it. It's honestly infuriating.

Last rollback was due to ShadowUSB and RPi issues.

I just updated on a PC that has ShadowUSB, which itself also updated. Loaded in fine;

OS - Win 11 23H2

What's the longest you've left it for?
I assume you've tried shutting down and starting again after a few minutes?

send me your logs, so I can check shadow-launcher.log and shadow.log in DM, I'll check when I can or before it's your support ticket turn

Left it for an hour after I woke up and went to get breakfast, came back to no progress.

And sure Alex, I'm just manually updating the Nvidia driver on my local PC as I noticed it was out of date, if that doesn't fix it I'll send the logs

Weird, I'm not seeing any "Shadow.log" or "Shadow-launcher.log" in the .shadow folder

I see "Shadow" and "Shadow-launcher" but they dont have .log, are they the same?

yes, you have just the option to hide extensions on your local explorer

The log code from the launcher is TKDSHG

IDK if that helps you or not

That was the same thing from last time, something with the update didn't go through or something, had something to do with the USB drives

Alright, gonna wait a few hours before restarting, hopefully the repair & extra wait fixes it, I'll keep you updated

I can check your latest shadow-launcher.log and shadow.log if you want but if components are beyond repair, they most likely will offer factory reset option...

Only way it got fixed was by reverting the update but I dont think they can do that for individuals

Weird, it didn't add new launcher logs in the folder... I'll try a full reinstall of ShadowPC itself on the local PC

It's only giving me the shadow-launcher.log, not the shadow.log, is that normal?

Gonna let it sit on the "Starting Shadow" screen for a while & hope it fixes itself

yes normal, until the stream has been started there's no shadow.log
