I'm using my Shadow PC (Windows) for video editing. Whilst that's working well for me, there's a lot of waiting around for file transfers. I'm just wondering if I'm missing something - is there a better/ faster way of doing this?

The video files vary in size but most are 100GB+.
I'm transferring them via a USB (3.0) SDD attached to my physical PC using USB forwarding. But that's only achieving around 3.5 to 4.5 MB/s. Should USB 3.0 not be achieving more? Or is there another way to get large files so they are available for editing on my Shadow PC?

Hi. The ShadowUSB isn't optimal for file transfer between you Shadow PC and your own PC. This is hardly limited. But additionally you only have 100 Mbps upload at Shadow. So the maximum file transfer between your Shadow PC and your own PC is 12.5 MB/s. You could reach it when you use a program like Wireguard VPN or ZeroTier One to make a virtual LAN between your Shadow and your own PC.

Another way would be cloud storage. This should also upload with up to 12.5 MB/s...
