it's normal, you can't reset from within shadow

#

now you need to factory reset from your shadow web account

#

but before you need to let your shadow shutdown by itself (~40 minutes)

and do not start it until reset is done

#

I just explained you the process to follow

adding to that "you can't factory reset if your VM is running/stuck on recovery"

Make sure VM status is "Stopped/Off"

You likely didn't see the Error if the Shadow was still on

#

It needs to be off to start the reset then the shadow goes into maintenance mode

Is the app open? If so close it -- Issue a stop command on the web every few mins till it goes off.
