About every 5 minutes my entire screen will freeze for about 5-7 seconds, and I get temporarily disconnected. It's not my internet because I am currently on direct ethernet line to my router and My ping is 20-40, and extremely consistent. No matter what I have done locally on my end to fix the issue, it continues to persist, so this seems to most definitely be a technical issue on shadow's end which seems to have been a problem for a long time. Sucks because for what I am doing, it literally makes it unusable and unreliable.

Problem also persists even on the web, and beta versions. Never had a single issue like it with other cloud streaming. I have also tried changing from 2.4ghz to 5ghz, still happens.

I have contacted support already just incase no one has a fix.

I attmpted the fix in R-122 but it didn't work so I do not think its targetting my specific error with R-116

I have the R-116 pretty much daily I have 5-6 of them in a row. I had to restart my internet for it to finally work but it happened again a few hours later.

Also make a report ticket about it so they can actually diagnose it otherwise its never gonna get fixed.

Ok well the problem does not happen in the web browser for me but only on the windows app.

But shadow also sucks on the web app.

I found a solution for r-116. Connecte shadow pc via vpn it works from first try but latency get hurt a lot.... Its not a solution just a workarround.

Connecting to Shadow via VPN.

R116 can be caused by ISP DNS issues, causing TCP timeouts, this could be due to many reasons I don't know. Unsupported country would be the first one.

Using Warp on local machine can help with R-116.

When you say warp in local you mean shadow or in the remote one ?

Use Warp on your local machine.. Local..-- Meaning the machine you use the Shadow App on.

it very slightly increases your ping for me it was by about 20.

but it is still very usable and since using it I have not disconnected.

Its worked only with old app of warp / tool. New one doesnt work withs shadow. Latency is fine as i had around 35 still 37 but net speed is cut by half so not viable solution for now. As vpn keeps the speed up. Definitly need a proper fix for that

I've been dealing with the r116 error since May on the Washington DC datacenter, I've pretty much exhausted every thing i can do on my end, everything outside of outright buying a new PC (which defeats the purpose of having shadow)

I've had Spectrum tech at my house 4 times now since May, the problem has just never been solved. According to everything that's been exhausted and tried, my internet signal doesn't have any more problems as of today earlier this afternoon.

I feel like they aren't enough of us US-based customers talking/reporting the issue for Shadow to take it seriously, that's what it feels like anyway. I don't want to believe that's the issue here.

it was even more obvious when the Cloudflare VPN actually fixed the issue.

R-116 is a total loss of a TCP network connection between your local device and shadow server, it can just be anything (and not only shadow related)

It stopped when I tried to remove defender because it was being a pain in the ass

Exaclty what hapens for me. Worked only first time i use nordvpn with same location as vpn. Latency doesnt change speed also. Its just annoying to launch eveytime i want to launch shadow

Its shadow issue because i tried in 5g every time and the error persists.
I also do have a strong net connection. And when i use nordvpn i can play on all platforms : Atv, laptop, mobile and whatever the connexion wifi, 5g or 4g.
Also i tried switching shadow on
And then connect using moonlight, parsec and steam link they all connect from the first try without vpn. So the issue is definitely in shadow launcher connection and how he deals with connection from local network

I changed the server yesterday with the help of the support form Canada to us. Still same issue.
I got a shadow pc reset by that process so isnt setup of shadow pc.

Only one remains : shadow launcher issue

yea, I'm not sure how to fix the Issue with Cloudflare not working after it's first usage.

Played whole weekend with VPN. Not even one time it get disconnected. I wills stick with that until they update or fix shadow launcher issue. Just guys please all of you open support tickets with the same issue and push forward to get it fixed fast

Aye i did, I had a strange feeling it was my fault.. I did some more looking into and I cleared my cache and I did have a popup blocker, 2 of them so I think that might have been causing some of the reasons behind it

I found a temporary fix you restart the pc power it down then press safety logs I think it's called but after a short time it's closes and does it all over again

Ye, it does mitigate/fix it but my warp just stopped working for some wierd reason.

I just canceled my subscription. Bought a pc was tired of them not solving the issue. Good luck guys with that 👍
