#Windows 11 and Driver updates

I have a Power subscription, and I recently upgraded to Windows 11. After the update finished and my Shadow PC restarted, I closed and reopened the application. I then received a message stating that the USB drivers hadn't been installed correctly, with an option to reinstall them while still in the launcher. I waited for a bit, and then I was given access to the VM. However, when it started, the screen was completely black, so I exited and turned off the VM. After logging back in, I was greeted by the Windows 11 welcome screen. I proceeded to install all my work applications, render tools, games, and Wallpaper Engine.

Once Wallpaper Engine finished installing, I started it, and everything seemed fine at first. However, when my wallpaper loaded, it sometimes froze and ran at low FPS, even with the settings on high, and it was consuming a lot of CPU. This was strange because I use the same wallpaper on a Boost VM, where it runs smoothly. And I'm using a Power subscription so it should be even more powerful.

Next, I decided to open Elden Ring, and everything worked perfectly—no lag or issues. I also tried Monster Hunter World and Sunbreak, and again, no problems. However, when I downloaded Fortnite to test further, an error popped up (as shown in the image below).

I went to GeForce Experience to update the drivers, and everything seemed to install correctly. But when I re-entered the VM, the display was very small. I managed to restore it to the correct size, but when I tried to open Elden Ring again, the game launched with the lowest display settings. I returned to the GeForce Control Panel to enable the custom display option. When I reopened the game, the colors were much brighter, but the performance didn't change. Unfortunately, the game started closing randomly, as did other games and apps. Fortnite didn’t even get past the loading screen to enter a match.

I’ve already restarted my Shadow PC, so I need help understanding what went wrong and what I should do to avoid making the same mistake again. I don't necessarily need Windows 11, but it's a cool feature to have. These are my concerns. Thank you for your attention.

Looks like very old drivers are installed, uninstall GeForce experience and grab RTX Experience or download manually via Nvidia website.

Yeah you should use RTX Experience. And additionally sometimes the studio drivers are installed which sometimes are a bit older than the game ready drivers. But you can also install a game ready driver manually when maybe also RTX Experience has older drivers

I wanted to use RTX Experience, but since the drivers section on the shadow web mentioned GeForce Experience, I hesitated to install it, just in case anything goes wrong. Also, i already installed the latest version of the driver Nvidia RTX Driver Realise 560 and there's something that feels off do you know why Wallpaper Engine is performing so poorly on Windows 11 I’m using the same wallpaper I had th drivers already up to date and i have the same wallpaper that i had on boost plan where it ran smoothly with high settings. Now, it’s freezing and lagging, and I’m also experiencing significant FPS drops in some games. Is this due to Windows 11, or do I need to configure something to get the most out of it without compromising performance? And just to confirm i already have the drivers up to date i installed manually form the Nvidia website

And i think game ready drivers are only for Gforce RTX GPUs at least is what the compatibility list says

But if you say it works, let me install it and keep you posted on the result.

And before i do anything do I need to do the clean installation or the fastest one
