I can see the Quick menu, etc, but the screen is just black.

With the Shadow focused, like click in the darkness, does CTRL, ALT DEL bring up anything on the Shadow?

Hmm. Try WIN+P, if nothing, keep pressing it, letting go of the keys for a second after.

Hmm.. Okay, issue a shutdown via the Quick Menu, once back on the launcher, wait a few mins, then go into the help panel and launch in via Display Safe mode.

yeah that works, but when I try to restart and launch it normally, it goes back to the dark screen again.

what is your mac version and year, MacOS version ?

you can also reset settings from launcher advanced option and make sure to disable 4:4:4 option too

try to delete ~/.shadow folder completly, or just its content

I did try to remove it from my applications and reinstall it, but lemme give this a go. 👍

select all of its content from finder and delete

i just got the same issue. Restarting shadow didnt work. Browser shadow have the same issue.
When i click I get a sound that reminds me when there is a popup where i have to choose an option, but i dont see anything.
Your key combination works tho, it opens this, But it hasnt solved my issue

Shutdown, wait 10 mins try again. That's if the shutdown works, if not you can issue a shutdown via the launcher help section.

i restarted my macbook pro, disconnected my second monitor, and started shadow. At least i see something.
I can bring up context menu with right click on my desktop. I get some ping sound on the black, and nothing on the white

give some details / driver on apps you have installed on your shadow, and if you have connected some device using usb adapter (like extra usb graphic card / etc...)

nothing new recently. I dont use usb adapter. I use it on my macbook pro, with a mouse and the monitor. I try to be up to date with nvidia drivers with GeForce experince

well corrupted files is not great but those files are linked to Bluetooth Audio and Modem, so unlikely linked
