Hello, I am wondering if anyone would be able to help me understand why the shadow PC's all seem to have the workstation GPU's rather than for example a 3070ti?
I also am wanting to know if there is any possibility of future upgrades for better GPUs?
Ark Survial Ascended seem to be fairly unoptimized (havent tried it myself yet as i am at work) but just wondering if there is any options to upgrade just the GPU in the future or whatever?

Nvidia restricts consumer cards in datacenter environments. They have to be workstation/server cards.

Pro Expert has the RTX 6000 and 41gb of system RAM. That's the highest tier you can get at the moment. We haven't heard more information.

As of yet there's no word when upgrades will come, other than the mention of 2-3 year cycles. (We're 1 year in)
Whether Shadow introduce something new before this is unknown. Will have to wait and see.

Speaking of Canada, ik this isn't the place to ask but, is there any chance shadow is going to get a server in Toronto? I currently live in London and it hosts in Montreal and I always get french websites and ads 😦 very frustrating

@umbral marsh Shadow already use all the Ovh datacenter in USA
And since Shadow use now only OVH datacenter ( apart Dallas datacenter), in my opinion, the chance is very low.

Contact Support to see if they have any GeoIPs planned for those in non French speaking locations.. Like they have UK IPs for those in UK which ofc connect to French datacentres.
