When logging into shadow prompted to change passowrd old one is expired anything i put in is wrong

To resolve the issue leave the "Password" (first) field empty or blank, you'll be able to specify a new password or you can leave all three fields blank.

The Windows password isn't your Shadow password.
When you get Shadow, the Windows password is blank.
