#Upgrading from Boost to Power

A couple questions I have about potentially upgrading from Boost to Power:

  • If I upgrade in the middle of my Boost Subscription, will I basically pay only the difference between the prices or will I be paying for entire thing even if I’ve already paid the month of Boost?

  • After upgrading, the additional storage that I currently have, will it transfer over without formatting it? Assuming that the C drive formats everything after upgrading, since it’s essentially an entirely new machine. Could I transfer important files to my additional storage and pull them off of it when I get the Power machine?

I did that a year ago and cant remember exactly but I think as far as the subscription goes they refunded me the balance and then took the 1st Power payment (or the other way around)
As for your files, again from memory its a complete wipe so I would throw as much as possible onto the likes of google drive and/or even shadow drive.

Power is 100% worth it for the GPU power alone, with 20GB of VRam it's more than enough for any game

If you go to the upgrade page you will see how much you pay to upgrade (it will credit you for not using ur full month of your first plan)

It was night and day to be honest. So much better however I have since moved off the Power after I built my own PC a few months back (which is way more powerful) so I only used Shadow for the high speed internet and had in fact cancelled completley. Then shadow took out the new "essentials" pc which is a simple basic windows machine that is not for games but still has the internet speed that I missed so it was a no brainer to pay £10 a month for that 🙂

One more question, if you don’t know this then no worries but if you do then that’d be a great help. My usual renewal date is the 14th of every month, if I were to order the Power upgrade, would my renewal date be changed from the 14th or would the date that I order the upgrade on be the new renewal date?

Depending on how long you have used the previous subscription it will credit you
