When you upgrade, you usually keep data.
There's no downgrade capabilities for now.
Means you have to cancel the Power sub then sub and start a new base Shadow. Means all data is lost.

Since most of the time, Base Shadow and Power Upgrade hardware are on the same datacenter ( apart Dallas ), when you upgrade, most of the time, you can keep your data
But
It's always reccomend to use Cloud storage, to save important data, because it happened that users, that changed the membership, they didn't keep their data.
