like if i’m not using shadow everything runs fine but the second i get on shadow it starts tweaking and i’ve never had this problem before

I guess contact support and give them app logs.
You can send logs via the help panel, open a ticket, explain the issue, include the logs code.
it is I am talking to them now. They want me to cancel my membership and restart. I have been with them since 2020 and I pay the original 29 or whatever. They in short I think are trying to get people to pay more. Tell you what I am not very happy with them right now.

Your support responses are about cancelling and re-ordering for some reason.. Nothing to do with this error code.. Support wouldn't suggest cancelling and re order for an error code.. Only to change from Shadow > Shadow+ or if you ordered Power from Dallas and wanted to go back..

that is the issue and I said yes you are correct with this email they sent me to restart my shadow with a new account

But that error code has nothing to do with re-ordering to change datacentres. That is what I am trying to get you to understand.

a. to cancel and reactive with a new account. or B. upgrade to the 50 dollar plan. aka i pay less now than most bc I am grandfathered in. if i cancel and reactivate then i lose my grandfathered price.

their server is far from me

so it gets high latancy and not a good connection and then drops. hence why it kicks us out

Okay yeah you shouldn't be connecting to Dallas - It should be Washington DC... Probably why they are scooting around the error code, cause they've noticed you're set up in the wrong location.
Any activaiton fees should be refunded.. At least ask them that.
If you put in a zip code for Miami and got set up in Dallas, that's on them.
A while back they switched me from DC to Dallas
they did it to several shadows

Blimey that was aggges ago lol.. That was when New York closed... Some did get accidentally moved to the wrong datacentre, but were sorted swiftly.. I cannot believe you've been at Dallas this whole time .. Yikes.. Anyways, to ease your latency issues you will need to be relocated to the proper datacentre which is Washington DC. But they don't do on the fly account migrations, so indeed you would need to cancel and re-sub again. But I would ask for the activation fee to be void.
But to get you back onto Shadow now.. I have no idea what causes this error code.. Discord I have seen it mentioned 3 times. One was solved by turning on VPN, seems their ISP was causing issues. Outside of Discord I've not seen this code mentioned for nearly 3 years.
So I would suggest restarting your Router first.
I read too,the Shadow support answer. And no, they don't say to cancel the subscription: they simply say, that Shadow, from now have a new tier which is Shadow + that cost 3$ more, because they offer 256gb more of storage on the main one.
And on up "that 's a possibility" of what? What argument did you talk? Is not a full answer, you cancel the first part.

Oh and I've just seen that they would cancel and provide pro-rated credit to get you set up in Washington. I missed that one.. It was Option 2 if you don't want to upgrade to power.
So if don't want Power, ask for them to do option 2.. And for now restart router and see if helps with error code.
It's late here in the UK.. But I hope you get things sorted.
And, I think it's related to change subscription. Infact they said " once the subscription will end, you can change subscriptions ( go on Power Upgrade).

Well maybe I may do this if u at least get more storage. That is nice. But it upsets me to not be grandfathered in anymore bc of something they did.
I am not so much worried about prorated I didn't want to pay more period. When it went from 12 dollars to 29 that was a huge shock for many. And many dropped out. I didn't bc I wanted to stay grandfathered in for this deal. It is nice with the extra storage though.
Pay more per month that is. Its already tight with everything.

I get that, but also the migrations were around March 2022.
All you can do is ask to be allocated 256GB and be charged 29.99 instead. But yeah they'll probably be thinking... Why not enquire about this last year 🙂
