you checked using windows update or directly from manufacturer ?
what's your CPU / GPU / iGPU exact model ?
used this one : https://www.nvidia.fr/Download/driverResults.aspx/145874/en-us ?
once updated, make also sur you start shadow on your performance GPU if you have the option
close shadow, right click on shadow icon, and check if you have an nvidia menu to select performance GPU
if you right click on shadow icon, do you have an nvidia option in a menu to start with performance GPU atm ?

Open and run DxDiag.exe
first you could test to install latest igpu driver for this model : https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/DriversForWin8.1/VGA/VGA_Intel_Broadwell_Win81_VER101814406201.zip?model=X550LD
and also check if you can do that in nvidia control panel and on shadow desktop icon:
and try again with both modes, if it still doesn't work, you may need to contact support for further analysis
