Go back to the app launcher go to the help panel, enable display safe mode, see if that shows it properly then restart.

It's a "Display" safe mode..

Okay issue a shutdown via the launcher once says Shadow is off.. Restart your local machine, start shadow back up again, as long as 2-3 mins have passed.

If that doesn't fix it, open a ticket with support while you wait and see if someone else in the community knows how to fix it, isn't something I've seen before
