I don’t have any issues with other game launchers but with steam there’s ALWAYS an issue when trying to download a game. It will download for like five seconds then stop for like 20. It’s a constant back and forth thing! WTH. I’m seeing “answers” from a year ago with no solution. A YEAR AGO, why is this still an issue??

Because of how the extra storage works, and the fact that steam decompresses and replaces files while installing a game.

It's more of a steam issue

#

Which is why steam is the only problem, the same thing would happen on a home PC if your CPU isn't strong because of the decompression.

Epic games does the same yet I have absolutely no issues with them. Pretty sure it’s something else

#

I also never had this issue when I had an actual gaming laptop

Epic does not compression or download optimization.

#

Steam does this to save download time and space on their servers.

I’m talking about epic installing files and downloading at the same time. Instead of just downloading everything at once. It’s always been epic to be the slowest when I had my own pc but with shadow it’s steam and it’s more of a download consistency. I’ve never had this issue before on my own pc. Downloads shouldn’t be stopping and going.

Seems more like a network issue or some kinda firewall, like some kind of half system. Kinda reminds me of the stock market when I say that. But I don’t feel like explaining what that means lol

Look at disk usage when steam is installing then look at disk usage when epic is
