You need to apply the drirc fix.
This is a list of known issues & workaround of the Shadow Linux x86_64 application you may encounter.
- Touchpad gesture not working (2 fingers scrolling) with local Linux user in "input" group (LIBINPUT)
- Difficulties to use Shadow hotkeys with local Linux user in "input" group (LIBINPUT)
- Mouse jittering, Keyboard lost/
I tried doing this and now it’s giving me this
I tried curl https://gitlab.com/aar642/shadow-repackaged/-/raw/main/drirc -o ~/.drirc
That was what happened after I tried to start it again
Okay, I deleted .cache and that seemed to let me at least run it, but the above command didn’t work.
I tried allow_rgb10_configs=false ./Shadow.AppImage
Now it runs but it looks like this
This is the output to the terminal
anything I can do here?
I use a steam deck (running ArchLinux) so im not sure if this will fix your issue, but the way I fixed this was by turning on "Color Enhancement"
Wow. Don't do that.
Same page.
Ohhh okay I see it now
Okay, so, I tried using the fix.
When I pull up Xorg.0.log and look for DRI drivers, this is what I’m met with.
So I added them, but I made three entries bc as you can see there are three different drivers.
When I try to start it again, I’m met yet again with the dreaded pink and red.
Idk what I’m doing wrong. Because I tried allow_rgb10_configs=false ./Shadow.AppImage
And I’m at least getting the green bar error at the bottom, but it seems those entries into .drirc aren’t implementing for me to try to fix it with SHADOW_VAAPI_FEED=split ./Shadow.AppImage
Any ideas?
I fixed it!
Quick question, how do you manage to get Shadow to work in Gaming Mode on the Deck?
Steam simply won't run the AppImage for me
Uh, Im not 100% percent sure if you can, I usually launch it in desktop mode. but I see what you mean by steam not launching it. From what I see the only way you can launch it is through konsole or just opening it in your file manager, launching through steam didnt even work for me on desktop mode
