Do you have them plugged in or trying to use as Bluetooth? And do you happen to have a ps4 controller or just Xbox ?

I would check your actual pc settings first by going into device manager find your controller it will be titled as ( Xbox 360 peripherals ) if installed correctly to the device. If it’s not correctly working it will be under one of the usb options in the manager . Then check your shadow and do the same there double check it’s installed correctly and that should hopefully solve it
