UART harness for power + USB serial = ??? | VORONDesign | Page 1

I've had some issues with "timer too close" errors and decided to test out using USB instead of UART communication between my RPi and my SKR Pico 1.0 MCU. I had been using the included wire harness that connects the SKR Pico to an RPi pinout to get power and UART. If I flash the firmware over to USB, is there any reason I can't just leave this UART+power wire harness connected? Or is leaving the UART pins connected a recipe for trouble?
