#Squeeky z axis

mostly sounds like stepper driver noise rather than mechanical noise
btw, it appears you have your x axis cable chain back-to-front
the fixed end should be attached to the toolhead
your z axis cable chain looks....odd
you should also secure those loose wires at the back
my chain is a cheapo one, as is the rest of the kit i got, chains are weird because the pins that hold them straight dont work
listen to 13 seconds in
so yes the noise does change at the front right, ok
i would examine that corner- belt tension, z-drive belt tension, alignment
what method did you use to tension the belts?
errrr... luck, the whole microphone thing never gave peeks so i just did... someting
hmmmm, luck is probably not the best method ๐
acquire/build one of these, makes tensioning correctly easy
๐will look into, ya think tension is to do with the noise? i was thinking its something to with the rails needing lube or sumthn
very possible, yes
did you clean and re-grease before you installed them?
nope
well, in that case, it's a high possibility it's your rails
this printer has an afterburner, how old is it?
i got the kit in 2022 finished assm in 2023, it was a formbot kit... that they discontinued because its sorta crap
same age as mine ๐
afterburner is fine, i'm still running with it
see this for cleaning and re-greasing your rails
i have 5015 for making sb or... soemthing, wanting to go higher flow, but havent had much luck geting abs to not warp so havent done
yeah i'm not casting shade on the toolhead was just curious as to how long it had been printing or if it was second hand
no grease during assembly?
