The homing of my Y axis is randomly changing, generally around 2 to 5 mm, but has changed up to ~10mm. Everything appears to be tight and in the proper location.
Any ideas as to what may be causing this? Looking for a cause for this.

I ran into this type of issue as well. Things I did: decreasethe run current only when homing, change the homing speed to be slower.

in your stepper config use:
home_current: 0.6
the 0.6 value is an example, use one that makes sense for your situation
