#I never seen a 3D printer

For years I wanted a 3D printer, but never was in the position to buy one. Besides that, until recently I also didn’t see one in real life. Things in life change, also in a positive way at times.

Due to my past “monetary” issues I enjoyed to repair and build things myself. Spare money I have invested in proper tools. A 3D printer was always out of reach. Now I can afford one, I decided to do things properly, so I went ahead, searched a lot and eventually bought a LDO Voron 2.4 350mm kit.

I signed up to this discord channel, and placed a PIF request. Seeing I am also noob in many things, this was pretty easy. My PIF request was appointed to @glass spoke who really has been awesome.
He started printing for me and the kit and PIF parts arrived not to long after each other.

Besides printing, @glass spoke has really been a great help and awesome person to talk too. The parts also look amazing I think, so I was really excited to start the build.

Unpacking was exciting, but also a little bit intimidating: I barely recognised any of the parts. I created a little workspace with good flat surface and started the build.

About two weeks later now, and I really have learned a lot! It was fun to build, although all the different manuals was confusing at times. Two steps forward, one step back happened more then once.
I had some moments too that I was amazed by the design, the use of parts and how it all fits together, truly amazing!

I have almost finished the build, tomorrow the final parts will arrive, I needed a different flat cable because I’m using a Pi 5.

Part 1 is nearly finished, the build. Next up is getting it working properly, I guess that will have a learning curve also, but I am looking forward to it.

The PIF team and myself have noticed some problems with the parts that I unfortunately did not see during despatch. You will receive replacement parts. Please check the private messages. Sorry for the inconvenience!
