#no idea what I'm doing

I have absolutely no idea how to read these graphs other than it's out of the good zone.

For reference, I couldn't figure out how to get the sound app belt turning to work, I printed the GT2 belt tensioner thing and used it but I apparently didn't use it correctly either.

No mods other than Chaotic lab tap

350mm 2.4 r2 rev d built from the fabreeko LDO kit. Only mods are chaotic lab tap, titanium backers, and rapido hotend.

could u please provide the remaining things which are mentioned in the posting guidelines?

if I missed anything else let me know but I think I got it all

halcyon willow
#

to give a hint - 2 shaketune generated pictures are missing 🙂

yes 3 different things, hence the & and + 🙂

sour ember
#

Sorry, I feel so stupid with all this lol..

These are the outputs I can get from shaketune.. which ones do you need?

#

axes map?

and check your XY joint screws according to the picture

sour ember
# halcyon willow also where is the screw?

uhhh good question, I vaguely remember thinking it was weird that there wasn't supposed to be a screw there when building, but now that you mention it I should go double check that

@sour ember can you provide a picture of the entire front of the printer please

I tightened the chain at the tool head is this any better? No idea what to do about the back

Ohhhhh

thin tree

Rerun input shaper please

Can you remeasure your belts

sour ember
thin tree
#

the belts measure both belts. Preferably with the PF tension tool

sour ember
#

That's the tool I have I'll go measure one sec

thin tree
#

yup that tool

sour ember
#

ok it was way too high, like 3 or maybe over. tuned it back to 1.9 and going to re-run the shakes

maybe a bit more?

thin tree
#

Did you derack when you first put the gantry on?

sour ember
#

yep, though I've done a lot since then, might have knocked something loose or something.

thin tree

Your belt graphs can be casued by the following issues:

#
  1. belt alignment
  2. belt path
  3. belt wear
  4. bearings/idlers
sour ember
#

Ok sorry about the delay, I did a full tear down and rebuild of the gantry, double checking all the alignment paths and stuff.. here' s my new results:

#

prints are actually looking really good, I just have layer shifts still (which is the original reason they sent me over here.. x and y shifts in seemingly equal distances)

thin tree
#

Can you provide and updated picture of printer and a picture of the layer shifts noting which direction please

sour ember
#

Yep! Here's the layer shift, that big tall part is supposed to be on the first rectangle, so I shifted over all the way to the other.. Seemingly perfectly diagonal back and right, or close to it

#

I'll go grab new photos of the printer in a few

sour ember
#

If this helps at all, just had the layer shift on a print that I think shows it more clearly

#

Almost a perfect diagonal soft back and right

This channel is not meant to be used for printing help in terms of layershift, EM or PA wrong.
We focus on resonance.

So best would be to set this post on Hold until u figured out what caused this.
Either post in #1169405960540917810 or #voron_2_discussion as I suspect a mechanical issue

Done!

# sour ember Done!

Have u solved the layer shift so we can continue/start with analyzing the new fresh graphs?

sour ember
#

Probably need to get that sorted before we do resonance 😦

sour ember
#

OK @halcyon willow got all my mechanical issues solved I think, completed an 11 hour print with no issues. Here's my new charts, they look a lot better to my untrained eye lol.

update: didn't forget about this just keep running into issues with the extruder stopping extruding half way through a print consistently. I'll update when I can

Check extruder motor crimps/wires
