Hello there! I recently finally got myself a Formbot kit. I'll first assemble it as-is with the default Formbot mods. For now, all parts are printed in full black ASA.

However, on the way, whenever I reprint any part, it will be in Prusament Orange ASA, and reprinting there hopefully will be!
I want to add a Prusa nextruder (or a papilio extruder) and Prusa's load cell-enabled hotend, essentially making this a very speedy Prusa XL. TAPchanger and CPAP cooling might be on the way as well.

Day one: returned home after a long day and assembled the frame.

I need to print side panel clips and exhaust holder as I am missing those, but I am finished otherwise and I will be ready for serial soon

I have achieved stable 1000/4000 speeds/accels without any special driver tuning. I'll work on the slicer config next

Coming from a Prusa MK3S, all I can say is wow, some nice first layer speeds here

I've manged to make some major changes:
Flipped the gantry
Switched to tapchanger carriage
Developed a custom Papillio-based extruder
Made some ghetto CPAP fans out of sever radial and axial fans
Developed a system around optical endstops

There are two opto-gates mounted on the right Y rail, meaning no part of the homing process relies on the toolhead being present on the carriage, just like with sensorless. Unlike sensorless, the entire XY homing process is basically contacless, so I'm reaching high levels of precision and repeatability (it seems for now - we'll see how well will the tool relative alignment work)
