#Corners / edges have ripples in them

Hey folks, Looking for some advice on dialing in the 2.4 I picked up used and already built. I'm getting "ripples" on the corners of prints. The lighting makes the faces seem worse than they are, the the third cube is really quite nice. I have printed 4 different cubes, from left to right:

No PA/No IS, No IS, X IS = 2h_ei / Y IS = 3h_ei, X IS = zv / Y IS = mzv

Not really sure what I should be checking next, though I assume it's mechanical at this point.

Any advice or guides to follow would be appreciated!

I turned it off both in orca slicer and I'm klipper

#

I'll double check the gcode and klippy logs to be sure

Confirmed, klipper has PA turned off and there is no m900 or SET_PRESSURE_ADVANCE in the gcode.

#

Also my PA is (usually) 0.032 for this ABS. 245/110/50

It says exhaust, but I don't actually have any exhaust, and I'm pretty sure the nevermore is tied to the bed heater and isn't controlled by software, but I'm not 100% sure on that one.

try turning your min cooling to like 60-70% normally myself I do 80% and 100% for bridges and fast layers

What is your chamber temps usually?

I'll edit the settings and see how it goes, but based on my limited time of printing abs, would this potentially increase warping?

Sounds good, I'll start with 60% and see how it goes and walk it up if it looks like it helps. Thanks!

Seemed to not make any difference. The ripples / ridges seem aligned between the two

I think it may be too high PA value, I am having a similar issue

PA is disabled, so is input shaping. I'm using stock accel/speed profiles from orca. Only thing I changed is max flow to 14.5 mm³. I'll try a print at 50% speed tonight.

I had several prints with IS and PA on and it perhaps "smoothed" out the ridges from other tests. But they were still unacceptable IMO. So I went to back to basics , turned things off to try and remove variables or poor tuning. I'll take another look at the speed and acceleration and run some more tests tonight.

I suppose I would have expected those type of settings to be more consistent across layers? E.g. the entire corner bulging or rounded rather than these ripples.

Slowing down some of my acceleration, a new IS and another tune of PA helped get back to acceptable. But I think I have something mechanical that needs to be addressed eventually if I want to push faster and maintain quality.

I'll post more pictures tomorrow of my graphs and "final" print.

Slicer settings are correct for the 0.6 nozzle, klipper is also set up with a 0.6 nozzle but I think that is mostly just used for some extrusion limits.

I'll check for a clog, but from what I've seen filament is coming out straight

#

Acceleration is now 3k across the board.

Have you enabled reverse on odd in orca? I had something like this (Very much less exaggerated) that was repated but was only affecting the central part of the cube, very similar to your. Disabling it fixed it.

It is not enabled
