#Stuck on Initializing

I have made a update on my Voron 2.4 to stealtburner, TAP, can, etc and it was running fine. I had only one thing left to do and it was to install Klipper Screen. I have a BTT TFT50 and installed the software with Kiauh. When I turned on the printer it started to update the screen, got a lot of green ok, but the screen stopped at "mainsailos login:". After that the printer is stuck at initializing. I have turned the printer on and of several times but get the same every time. When I try to SSH via Putty I get the message "The server's host key is not cached in the registry". I accept and get the normal login, enter the password and get "access denied". Is there any way to save this and avoid a new install? It would be very appreciated after all the work to update my printer.

I now tried to read the SD card from the PI in windows 10. I says that there is no drive in D: so I suppose the SD card is broken or corrupt, or is this normal?

# normal shore I now tried to read the SD card from the PI in windows 10. I says that there is ...

Windows wont be able to read the SD card/ the klipper stuff that part is not a problem, The Putty pop up is also not a problem as its because you dont have it saved in putty so its sending that to verify once u add to to saved sessions it should go away, now lastly Klipperscreen you need to add some stuff to your printer to get it to work like you want u can either follow this guide https://klipperscreen.readthedocs.io/en/latest/Installation/#moonraker-configuration or this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNRJP9zxvbw&t=253s the video still follows the first guide i linked

mistyped that first part

Ok, I try this and come back.

#

I got rid of the message but I still get "access denied" for some reason. It's the default password I always have used and I have logged in to the pi many, many times before with Putty.

PI is capitalized if its the same as default it should be undercase pi also it is case sensitive

normal shore

I just tried with PI instead of pi the last time so it gives the same result. I thought you were going to comment that after I sent it😀

the password you have is custom? if so try the default raspberry

normal shore
#

No, it's not custom. I am using raspberry

gaunt carbon
#

ohhh now that's weird might be above my expertise

normal shore
#

As I remember it will tell you that the username or password is wrong when the password isn't correct. In this cas I get "access denied"

#

When I read about Raspberry pi SD card it should be possible to read in windows. In this case I can't.

gaunt carbon
#

it says "Access denied" when i try a undercase username

normal shore
#

ok

gaunt carbon
#

Uppercase sorry

normal shore
#

Is it possible to reset the password in some way if it's corrupt?

gaunt carbon
#

I dont know unless its just doing a fresh install

normal shore
#

Unfortunately it's probably the only way to solve it. With a new SD card...

Now that you've accomplished that, what's the actual problem?

gaunt carbon
burnt solar
#

Yes

gaunt carbon
#

he cant login to the pi he's using the default setting was able to before but now cant

burnt solar
#

That's weird... those passwords don't generally change themselves...

gaunt carbon
#

i also thought if it was corrupt like he was thinking he wouldn't get a response from putty or klipperscreen posting

burnt solar
#

I mean, there's always technically going to be some scenario, where just one password file gets corrupted or something . But...pretty far fetched stuff...

normal shore
#

Remember that this wasn't the only problem . The webinterface is stuck on "initializing" and the printer does not start up. I am pretty sure it is the SD card since it's impossible to read and to format.

I read this online "When you plug a Raspberry Pi SD into Windows, it will only show one partition (the /boot partition), but your files aren’t on it." I can't even see the partition. When I try to format the SD card it says "There is no Disk in drive D" which is the USB SD card reader. Do you still believe it's most likely not the SD card?

Yes I would try a different SD card, from my experience SD cards are hit or miss had some fail after few weeks/months and also had some work for a long time
