#Canbus bits hitting Z chain

Trying to decide what to do about my EBB36 wiring hitting my Z chain in the rear when homing or running decontaminator macros. Just recently instaleld my G2E and that extra length definitely takes its toll. I've considered sensorless but the only way I can see it working out is if I can build an exclusion zone for the X axis past a certain Y value, homing in the front. On the other hand, I suppose I could extend the limit switch on my rear PG7 mount a ways to keep the whole Y axis from moving too far rearward, but then I'll have to move my bed forward and I'm starting to lose real estate.

Just looking for some ideas! Thanks!

Can you post a picture of where it hits? It should be possible to lightly redesign the Z chain mount.

You need to move your y endstop

I think i have used this

Couple pictures. I have a couple sticky pads stuck to the X beam acting as a spacer. It's working, but I'm still touching wiring to the PG7 and the Z chain in a couple places.

My other recommendation is home y before x if you’re using the pg7 mount on the A drive. Assuming your printer homes to the center back extrusion after a print you won’t collide with it.

That is also an option. I might play around with that a bit before I run these parts. I think I'll still be hitting on the left side of the Z chain when doing the decontaminator routine.

One last option lol. Go sensorless and home to the front and limit max y travel. If you even have to limit it. You may have enough room to play with that it won’t matter.

Considered that too, but nothing I had considered got the chain completely out of the way like that mod does. Heat soaking now lol
