#any tips for connecting raspberry pi to Spider v3.0 via Uart?

I'm trying to connect my MCU to my RPI using UART, I've followed all of the guides online, but still can't connect to it, I was wondering if anyone else had a similar issue?

it's pretty hard to debug why it's not working. USB is a better option in all regards. Note that if you want to power the Pi via the UART cable you do not need to use UART - you can power the pi with that cable and still use USB
