Check to see if the levels you've been playing have the option to use a hint carrot.
If you can't use a hint carrot on a level, the game won't put eggs or diamonds out because it has no way of knowing whether the level can really be completed

We already checked this with @versed bison , no level has eggs/carrots/diamonds.

Okay, I have confirmed that this is an Android-specific problem by playing a few different levels on both iOS and Android, such as this one
