Overview: A decently fast, tracked superheavy. The Axius Exploration Vehicle was designed by a private venture during the Star League era, made to operate in the harshest of environments. It is capable of operating independently for over 4 months on a planet's surface, collecting data on a planet's weather patterns, atmospheric conditions, radiological activity, and soil content.
Capabilities: Equipped with two dispenser units allowing for the deployment of sensors to remotely monitor seismic activity and weather patterns, a high-powered communications array capable of uplinking with command outside of the planet's atmosphere, and a control unit for up to 2 drones.
The unit is also equipped with fine manipulator arms to collect samples from a planet's surface, which can be analyzed in its on-board lab, or stored in insulated compartments. A bulldozer and backhoe allow for the vehicle to clear obstacles, terraform a landing zone, or assist in the collection of surface samples.
An array of sprayers serve a dual purpose, both designed to suppress dust and to decontaminate various sub-systems, should they become clogged with debris.
The crew is kept safe by an extensive sealing system, and seven tons of BAR 6 armor distributed evenly across the vehicle protect the unit from wear and tear associated with operating in hostile environments.```BV: 266
