Hello,

I have attempted to follow the the guides for the java install, and tried looking at existing java issues.
I am also an Inexperienced Ubuntu user, so it could be an issue with reading comprehension there.

Please see attached sc,

I do have java 17 ( or newer)
I have set Java home path.

The guide also mentions a particular file type that is equivalent to the shown file type above and indicates not to use it as the zip does not use the installer. I expect this is the root issue, but i attempted to use the standard openjdk which does not work, or i could not make it work.

You are not in the folder where is the MegaMekLab

#

You cant reach a file that is not in your current folder.

#

I dont have the linux setup right now, but you should be able to run Megameklab by double clicking the "MegaMekLab.sh"

#

Double clicking only opens the file as a text editor.

#

Never mind.

If i right click to run as a program it opens.

#

Thank you,

I belive this is resolved.

I really cant do much with that comment, which popup? Whats written? Theres any log?

dense swan
#

its just the fastest terminal window that disappears immediately.

#

If there is a log i cant find it, and I cant see any activity for the program in the system monitor.

I suggest you take your time and look for at least one video on youtube or a tutorial on how to use the terminal to navigate between the folders in your linux and run at least a couple of commands like ls cd and cat
