MegaMekLab Export & Discord Sharing Guide
Attention, Mech Engineers! Ready to showcase your latest mech designs with style and precision? Here's how to export from MegaMekLab and make your designs pop on Discord:

  1. Exporting from MegaMekLab:
  • Navigate to File -> Configuration -> Export tab.
  • Uncheck "Use TRO format for summary". (Only needs to be done once per version.)
  • Then, go to File -> Export -> to Clipboard (text).
  1. Pasting in Discord:
  • Encapsulate your pasted text with triple grave marks ``` (found on the same key as ~ on US keyboards) to create a monospace text block.
  • To add color, start your text block with triple grave marks followed by json, markdown, or ruby for syntax highlighting. Testing has shown these provide the best visual results for mech designs.
