What is wrong with his torso?

so both of them are lying down but i cant make sense of his pos, still dont have a reference so yeah... anyone there willing to help?
(censored bc of naked chest- ill add clothes later... just trying to make sense of the body positioning first)

this probably doesn’t help too much, but this reference looks slightly similar

if anything, I’d say the shoulders are definitely throwing the pose off, as they’re too flat

the torso itself is also very stiff, whereas if you were to actually be in that position, you’d have a curve in your midsection

I can draw a few guidelines over his torso if you’d like

right- it should be curved- this was my first sketcg od the scene whic already had so many mitakes in it... how do i curve hi torse without the other person being in the way? They are pretty close together :/

i thought they maybe lie a bit over his chest?

the other person wouldn’t be in the way, as you would put the curve where his upper torso meets the lower!

before I do that, I would suggest to always sketch out the ribcage first

sorry for being slow i just made a whole screen recoding on how to save shit for a freiend ans had to compress it twice so it would fit on discord and then to my horror there was no audio so i had to make a seprate VM (voicemessage)
