Hello! I'm currently doing a commission but struggling a bit with the hair on the right of the canvas..it looks off but I can't seem to put my finger on it- any suggestions or feedback is appreciated!

Hey! Okay, I'll try to help... So, hair generally works in layers, right? Since there's something (the hands) interacting, an extra layer of information is added. The lowest part of the hair can follow its own direction without being greatly influenced by being below the other layers; however, the strands that are closer to the hands follow the curve in the direction of those hands. The strand only changes its curve or overlaps when it's no longer in contact with the hand. I hope this helps!

I think just move it more to the right and make it a bit bigger would solve the problem, right now it looks a bit too close to the head?
If you want, you can also try to move the top hair ( the parting hair) more up since his head is higher than us,which means we won't see the hair parting as much. But I would say this one is optional since it's not really bothering
