Hey there, so I think your initial drawing looks great! One thing I noticed about the shading is that the nose feels more outlined rather than shaded into a form, and I feel like the values are a bit too uniform. It would be great to introduce some lighter and darker shades to create a contrast. I recommend seeing it as a form, like a sculpture.
And also just a little tip, when you want to change how dark a color is, shift the hue just a tiny bit, it’ll avoid a flat looking drawing

As for the hair, to be honest I don’t do curly/dread-like hair that much, but I think, like the rest, you could see it as a 3d form and introduce more values. And also, generally, with darker skin, a purple-ish color appears somewhere in the skin tone. It’s optional, but it helps enrich the portrait

#

It would also help to know where your light source is coming from, and then put your shadows as such

#

I would also recommend studying the Asaro head

To be very very honest though thats impressive for a week

And also just a little thing here, you’re not supposed to be “good”, no artist in the entire world is supposed to be “good”, learn the fundamentals, it takes a hundred bad drawings to make one you like
