As you said you're working on proportions so I won't say anything on that but one thing I would like to point is the original one looks more dangerous and evil personality whereas the remake doesn't at first glance I thought they were two different characters

Try to add some evil looks and design on the remake for now it's simple humanoid

I really like the original concept though
