Shading help

I want to shade this in, but i've never used shading before and i wouldn't be sure what the most efficient method in this case would be. I can send the workflow to show how everything is set up.

i'm considering using magic wand over segments of it (an example being the hair) then copy pasting that, masking over it and doing my shading using the multiply layer over that, would that be optimal?

I am not the best to tell that but I think just use the multiply layer with a dark red color and judge it yourself how it looks
