Crosshatching has been my main way of building out form and shadow etc. something about my crosshatching however seems to be a little off and I just want some second opinions

the cross hatching isnt off, its the proportions of what you draw, so id suggest working on that
but if you really want to improve your hatching, work on doing darker values, and gradients as well
and think about the form of the subject
Thanks for the feedback, what specifically is proportionally off in the drawings? Cuz some of the them are a little stylized and others I was trying to be more realistic.
@dawn sphinx
Its not just one thing that's off proportionally, its just overall someone things are off. before learning stylization i suggest you learn realism, as you have to learn the rules before you break them. (as stylization is just removing which aspects of reality to remove from the drawing and which aspects to keep in)
@dawn sphinx what resources do you recommend for learning realism?
lots of photo references, and "drawing on the right side of the brain" by Betty Edwards
thats how i learned
and of course practice, but learning the theory and experiementing is just as important
Great, thank you for the reference!
