Helloo!! I'm doing a digital painting assignment but i dont know how i could make the character stand out from the background, any tips?? :DD
Also feedback and opinions are very much appreciated

waa! Love this! I drew something similar recently involving a guitar! (le enclosed image. bad quality camera, ik...) My suggestion, is maybe add an outline around the character and guitar? try turning down the opacity of the background. and playing with the colour saturation and brightness! As youre on digital, id reccomend adding an add layer filled with the colour of your choice, (opacity down) then a multiply layer with another colour of your choice ontop of that (also opacity down) and on the multiply layer, erase where the character is to make it brighter! Just a couple of suggestions! I love the art!!

KSJskjs dont worry bout the quality, Oooohh an outline seems perfect!, i like the idea of adding the layer to make the character brighter
