you could shade the hair topographically
I'd add more fluff I guess around the sides
And yeah shading it differently will also help

one way of giving in 3dness is to have seperate defining shapes on the front hair, side hair, and back hair.
one way of doing this is draw a shape, and turn it into ribbons/locks

The two main methods are the ribbon method and the banana method, I personally prefer the banan but depending on your preference yk.
