#i want to see what are the weak points in this painting, such as a lighting factor etc..

id say biggest weak point is deffinitly ur backgrounds the figure doesnt really feel grounded anywhere and the backgrounds colours dont match the lighting or anything it draws a lot away from the lovely figure since it has so much contrast and the horizen line feels a bit high
I think the biggest issue right now is anatomy/proportions, the seat to the top of the head should be roughly the same length as the legs, here the legs are 1,5 times longer than the upper body
I like the values and colors of the character tho
Thanks for the feedback.this piece is actually based on a work by realism master Iqbal Mehdi, I used his painting as reference and added my own touch with the clipboard effect. Since it’s from a master, some choices in proportions and composition come directly from the source, but I really appreciate your critique because it helps me understand what to focus on when I start creating more paintings.
Yeah, been there too. Painting reproductions are very hard, especially getting the proportions right
ah yess... i really liekd how you explained what is rigth and what if wrong, now i want to see your art. would u like to show me somewhere?
I dont have much on my phone, heres some studies
Im better at environments but im more a 3D/ sculpting artist than painter
Im more into this, but sculpting is all about proportions like painting, proportions are the core of every artwork
Well yeah thats what i do most, paintings just for training
Btw sry for late reply didnt see it
no probs
